Criminal Reference/Vulnerable Sector Checks
It is important to know that anyone acting in a volunteer capacity for SFMHA will need to have a criminal record check completed with either the Ontario Provincial Police or the Smiths Falls Police Department. This includes coaches, assistant coaches, managers, dressing room monitors, treasurers and executive.
When you submit your reference checks you will need a signed letter from an SFMHA Executive Member confirming that you are a volunteer. Put your name on the letter before submitting it to the Police.
