DOEFSTRONG- SFMHA supports Neil Doef and family

SFMHA players have done us proud!!  Teams have been collecting donations and depositing them into the Scotiabank "Doefstrong in trust" account to support our own Neil Doef who was seriously injured while playing for Team Canada East in the World Junior A Challenge.  The stories of support are truly inspirational!  The Atom Rep team issued a challenge to beat their donation of over $800.  Not to be outdone, the Major Midget Rep team presented a cheque for $3000!  Not only has every other team and their visiting teams been making their contribution financially, they have been showing their thoughts and prayers for Neil by wearing ND19 stickers on their helmets that were provided by SFMHA.  Teams have been pulling at our heartstrings all week-end by coming together with their visiting teams at centre ice in a circle of solidarity for Neil, a gesture started by the CCHL on Friday night.  We are so proud of SFMHA players and families for not only providing the Doef Family with financial support so they can be with Neil as a family, but showing them the moral support and love for Neil!!
